Privacy policy
Effective July 17, 2026 · ArchiveOptics, LLC
The short version: we don't collect your data, because our software is built so we can't.
Our applications
PhotoLibrarian and Negative Converter run entirely on your Mac.
- No accounts. The applications require no sign-up, no login, and no registration to function.
- No telemetry or analytics. The applications do not collect usage data, crash reports, identifiers, or statistics of any kind.
- No cloud processing. All features — including face recognition, image analysis, machine-learning healing, and denoising — run on your machine using bundled models. Your photographs are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- No network access. PhotoLibrarian is built with zero network entitlements: under macOS's App Sandbox, the operating system itself prevents it from making network connections.
- Your files stay yours. The applications catalogue and read your image files where they already live and never modify or delete an original.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. This site is plain, static HTML. We run no analytics scripts, set no cookies, and embed no third-party content.
- Hosting. The site is served by our hosting provider, which — like virtually all web hosts — may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we receive what you send — that's the only personal information we hold. We use it solely to reply to you and, only if you've asked, to tell you when our software is released. We never sell, rent, or share your contact information, and you can ask us to delete any correspondence at any time by writing to support@archiveoptics.com.
Purchases
When our applications go on sale, payment will be handled by the Mac App Store and/or an established payment processor acting as the seller of record. We will never see or store your payment card details. This policy will be updated with specifics at release.
Children
Our website and software are general-audience products and do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions about privacy? Write to support@archiveoptics.com — a person will answer.
